Conduct in the event of loss

The first report is to include:

• Date, time and location of the damage
• Presumed cause and approximate scope of the damage
• Contact and telephone number of the person responsible for the damaged aircraft
  
  

If an accident has resulted in death then this is to be reported telegraphically within 48 hours, even if the accident itself has already been reported (see § 15 II (2) of the AUB [General Accident Insurance Conditions]).

Please await our instructions or those of our expert. This particularly applies for hull loss with respect to the decision regarding the start of repairs and choice of repair shop.

Immediately report to us any event that might give rise to a claim. Pass any claim to us unacknowledged without admitting liability.

Notify the police immediately in the event of theft or fire damages.

Anyone not observing these rules of conduct runs the risk of losing their insurance coverage
